engineering_hallSince 1868, the College of Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign has been educating outstanding engineers and engineering leaders. Since 1950, the College of Engineering has annually recognized 10-15 students as the Knights of St. Patrick who represent leadership, excellence in character, and exceptional contribution to the College of Engineering and its students. The award is one of the highest honors received by a student from the College Of Engineering. These Knights have gone on to pursue outstanding careers as industry leaders, technology innovators, corporate executives, and engineering educators. Over the years, the Knights of St. Pat have also honored University faculty and staff through the selection of Honorary Knights (since 1958) and Golden Shamrock recipients (since 2000). Come help us celebrate the traditions of the Knights, share stories, and launch another decade of engineering excellence at the University of Illinois.

During the weekend of Engineering Open House, March 12-13, 2010, join your fellow Knights in returning to campus to celebrate and honor 60 years of the Knights of St. Patrick. Come reminisce, celebrate, reconnect, and welcome the 60th Knights Class. We hope you can join us. Please explore this website for more details about the event (location, schedule), and don’t forget to register before the March 1, 2010 deadline!
